| COMMENT This trailer is offered inclusive with a 94 Mitsubishi FP414 4x2 Tractor Unit Ref 14970. CHASSIS AND UNDERFRAMING: Chassis looks in good condition - a little road dirty but no visible fatigue or structural rust. There is surface rust on the bottom of the chassis rails and some weld repairs on the cross member between the axles. The main chassis rails are 295 x 200 fabricated I beams with 245 x 90 channel cross members at 825mm centres. MECHANICAL: 10 ton axles with 6 stud grease hubs on 5 leaf spring suspension. The forward end of the front axle springs are secured with pins and the remaining spring ends are supported by conventional slipper pads. There are load sharing rockers between the springs. New air tank fitted in front of the first axle. BODY: 1800mm long foredeck has bevel corners and a hydraulic winch mounted at the front. The winch is full of 14mm reasonable condition (a little rusty) warp. The main bed is 6000mm long x 2500mm wide. Deck to ground measures 1000mm. The decking is plywood over timber - generally sound but a little weather worn on the top surface. 1780mm long hydraulic ramps at the rear. A very long hydraulic ram slides the deck back for ease of loading and works in unison with the raise / lower mechanism on the truck turntable. There are manual swing-down landing legs underneath the front of the trailer. TYRES 215/75R17 Recaps. 1st axle - LH 30% remaining tread RH 80%. 2nd axle - 15% both sides. |
