COMMENT
CAB INTERIOR: Fair. The drivers seat upholstery is in reasonable repair - cushion has been recovered at some time. Passengers seat upholstery is fairly grubby and there is a split at the top of the backrest. Dash, centre console and glove compartment reasonably tidy apart from a 70mm wide chunk of the centre console surround which has broken off the corner. Roof lining complete - dirty with a few screw holes in places. The interior light lense is missing. Rear wall lining also intact but sagging in places and also fairly dirty. Both door linings presentable - a couple of small nicks out of the R/H one and the arm rest has been repaired with electrical tape. Floor mats would come up well with a clean. The drivers seat is a Bostrom Viking 303 suspension seat. CAB EXTERIOR: Tidy - no notable rust or damage. The light metal gauze within the grille has broken in a couple of places and is held to the louvers with some cable ties. There are 10 x 6mm drill holes on top of each front mudguard where something has been secured. The stoneguard has aged and deteriorated and is starting to fall to pieces. Remaining panels are in tidy condition. Paintwork generally good - a few minor stone chips on the front panel. BODY: The truck is fitted with a fixed 1350mm high compensating turntable. Aluminum rear guards and aluminum chequer plate covers on the front half of the chassis. The wheelbase is 4790mm. There is a PTO and hydraulic pump on the transmission with an aluminum hydraulic oil reservoir on the L/H side of the chassis. MECHANICAL: Engine reasonably clean - minor dampness around the injector pump and a moderate oil leak looks to be coming from the timing case / block joint. Cold started well and ran smoothly with clean emission both hot and cold. The hand throttle cable is either broken or disconnected. Clutch pedal engages fairly near the floor. There has been some weld repairs and strengthening plates added to the steel frame surrounding the radiator. Six rod rear suspension. There is a fair bit of oil residue around the inner chassis adjacent to the inter-axle propshaft rear yoke. There is no sign of an oil leak at the rear diff pinion seal so presumably the oil has come down from the tipulator hoist that the truck was pulling. GENERAL: Generally appears a reasonable runner in typical working condition for its age - has only recently come out of day to day work due to the arrival of a replacement later model unit.
