COMMENT CAB INTERIOR: The low height operators cab interior is very work dirty but still in sound condition. An after-market velour seat has been fitted - reasonably good condition but very dusty. The roof lining, rear wall lining and mats are intact although the steering column lock is loose. All grader controls are in reasonable condition. The gearshift and brakes appear to work okay. Doors and catches also in good condition. Cab heater has been removed and the hoses are blocked off underneath the cab. Lower window wiper motors and arms have also been removed. EXTERIOR PANELS: Tidy. Paint has faded. Both LH and RH upper door window glasses are broken and the hold-back catches are slightly bent and not well aligned. All other panels and doors are straight and in good condition. FUNCTIONAL EQUIPMENT: The 3660mm (13ft blade) blade has power tilt and power slide and although the end bits are worn badly the blade face, base edge and mounts are in good condition. All four blade slider blocks are very worn and loose and there have been some crude repairs to the slide ram mounting. The blade lift mechanisms, trunions and joints have only minor to moderate wear and are generally all in good condition. The centre articulation joints appear in good condition. Moderate wear at both ends of the chassis steering ram bosses and pins. The front axle, spindle and king pin joints appear in good condition. Tie rods etc only showing minor wear. The grader is fitted with an eleven tyne scarifier, this having only six shanks fitted. Scarifier mechanism looks in good condition. The blade circle slippers are loose and there is approx 6 to 8mm vertical play between the circle and top plate guides. Steering rams, wheel lean ram, blade slide ram, LH blade lift ram and both articulation rams are all leaking badly. MECHANICAL: The engine started immediately but has an obvious misfire. This combined with grossly over high engine oil level would indicate a fault in the fuel injection pump. High fuel / oil dilution will cause serious damage to engine bearings so would need further checking. There is an oil leak at the engine bell housing. And a fuel leak from the injector pump and / or fuel filter housing. With limited drive test the transmission appeared to connect up okay at least in low gears. Both tandem cases look upright and pivots have no major oil leaks. Oil leaks at all the main control valves spool bodies particularly the RH side. OVERALL: Although the engine has obvious problems these may not be fatal ie injector pump may need common repairs. Poor paint detracts from the outside appearance however the rest of the machine is in typical to average condition for the year and type. TYRES Front - 14.00R24 Highway type retreads with 75% tread. Rear - Standard 14.00 x 24 Crossply virgins all with 40% tread.
