COMMENT
CHASSIS AND UNDERFRAMING: Looks in good condition - a little road dirty but no visible fatigue or structural rust evident. The chassis rails are 300mm x 150mm standard I beams with 270mm x 90mm channel cross members at 700mm centers. MECHANICAL: 12 ton axles with 5 spoke oil hubs on full slipper spring suspension. Full air, S cam brakes with spring parking chambers. The slipper pads have been re-plated with moderate wear now evident on the second axle rear slippers. Remaining brake lining wear: First axle - 90% both sides. Second axle - 85% both sides. 16400kg MTM certified drawbar with rubber bush pivots and 40mm tow eye. Design certificate expires June 2012. BODY: 4010mm long steel deck with 1100mm high fixed sides - radius corners. BFOB hoist. Top swing, air latch tailgate. The deck floor is intact but is looking fairly thin - worn through in a few small places. 20mm undulations between cross members. The lower edge of the tailgate has been plated over and this is also wearing thin with one 300mm long split. Sides are reasonably tidy - only a few minor dents. GENERAL: A reasonably tidy and nicely configured trailer - due for a deck overlay skin soon.

Tubeless radials. Recaps with 50 to 60% remaining tread all round.
